My fall style mantra is pretty simple: I want to be warm, I want to be comfortable, I want to be cozy. Long gone are the days when I would brave the cold in a dress and open toe shoes. Nowadays, I’m all about practical style that maintains a level of style. It’s during this time of year that I typically turn to my oversized sweaters, boots, scarves, and toques. One style staple has evolved a bit this year though, and that’s my oversized sweater.
Each and every year I have a go-to oversized knit that I pair with jeans, leggings, and [faux] leather pants, and this year that sweater is this Camila Cold Shoulder Sweater from Tobi. The open shoulders give this sweater a slightly more edgy, fashionable, and pulled-together look that I am living for this fall.
It’s during this time of year that it can feel easy to fall into a style rut. You wear the same sweaters, the same rotation of pants, and the same boots day in and day out – and it can feel boring. That’s why investing in pieces that have that element of practicality, but bring something new to your style, is such a great way to maintain a level of fun in your wardrobe during these cooler seasons.
