I’ve talked about this foundation on my youtube channel before, but I’ve never done an in-depth review of it. Typically, when I wear this foundation, I wear it to some sort of event which means I really only wear it for about 4 hours max. I realized though that most people apply their foundation in the AM, go to work, and often wear their makeup for 8+ hours which is what inspired me to really put this foundation to the test.
I’ve mentioned a number of times (so sorry if I am being repetitive guys!) that I don’t often wear full-coverage foundations. Day to day, I tend to keep my looks more natural and simple, and I like to let my skin breath. But after purchasing and trying out the Too Faced Foundation, I’ve been inclined to wear this fuller-coverage look more and more.
Coverage: Medium-Full Coverage
The Born This Way Foundation is instantly a medium coverage, but you can easily build it to being full coverage. It doesn’t feel heavy on your skin and it does not cling to dry patches. The formula is quite creamy and it blends out easily and after a few minutes, it sets in place.
If you have dry-prone skin then I would recommend against using a setting powder all-over with this foundation to ensure it doesn’t look cakey or dry. Instead, use setting powder in specific spots where you find your skin gets oily, and use a setting spray to prolong your foundation’s life.
This foundation is extremely long-wearing. I was surprised how it easily lasted from 8:30AM – 6PM (9.5 hours!) without fading, breaking up, or clinging to my dry spots.
This foundation is definitely a higher end foundation with a higher price tag. It is definitely one of my favourites though so I’d say its worth it!
