Skincare is a huge part of my beauty routine. I love having clean, fresh, and healthy feeling skin. My daily routine usually consists of cleansing my skin when I wake up, and then again that evening to take off my makeup from that day, after that I usually apply something to help moisturize my dry-prone skin. It may sound like a lot, but it’s what I do to keep my skin feeling and looking its best.
While I was away in Cuba I received an incredible gift package of product from Vichy – and as soon as I got home I tried out every single product.
My skin was in some dire need after our trip since I had treated it fairly badly while we were away – sunshine, alcoholic beverages, and using harsh travel-size skincare I had picked up from the grocery store took it’s toll after just two weeks.
Since coming home, I’ve continued to use each of these products, and today I am super excited to share my findings with you.
Vichy Normaderm Skincare
This product was also a gel-based cleanser and just like the Purete cleanser I had thought it would feel soapy or stripe my already dry skin.
This also was very easy on my skin and it left it feeling very clean while also hydrated.
I never use toner. I mean never. I had one once a long long time ago and it left my skin bright red and feeling totally striped.
I had a terrible reaction and I told myself it was something I’d never try again. But here I am – trying out Normaderm’s Purifying Astringent Toner – and best of all, I actually really liked it.
While this wasn’t my favourite product in the line just because I don’t love this as an extra skincare step, it did make my skin feel very soothed and healthy.
After cleansing my skin with the cleansing gel I applied the toner using a cotton pad and found that while it was an extra step, it was one that did make my skin feel very refreshed.
I honestly had no idea there were products this amazing on the market. I am all about moisturizing my skin, but one thing I can’t stand is getting a breakout from products that over hydrate my skin.
Normaderm Hydrating Acne Care somehow has fixed that problem as it combines hydration with acne care all into one. This super light weight and quick-absorbing moisturizer left my skin feeling simply amazing.
I never worried about over doing it with my skin, and even found that this treatment cleared up my skin. If you have dry skin & are acne prone then this is an excellent product for you.
Vichy Purete Skincare Review
This was a really neat product and it really surprised me. It starts as a great makeup remover, but it also can be applied to your skin to gently cleanse away any impurities.
When mixed with a bit of water this oil-based cleanser turns into a more milky and soothing treatment. It’s a really nice and soothing cleansing treatment for dry prone skin types.
When I first tried the cleanser I had thought it would be very stripping on my skin as it had a very soapy gel texture.
Once I tried it out though I found that though it did clean my skin, it didn’t leave it feeling stripped or dry. This was actually probably one of my favourite products of the whole set because I actually found it really gentle on my skin.
I love thermal sprays and I use them often in the summer to quickly freshen up my skin on the go. This is the sort of product I always pack along when I travel or go camping because I like to be able to quickly spritz my skin and feel a burst of freshness. This thermal water product is very light weight and its compact size makes it perfect for a in-purse product.
This was one of my favourite products because I really love creamy cleansers. I feel like they are more soothing on my dry-prone skin.
Rather than just cleaning my skin, this product also really did help alleviate my dry skin issues which have been bad this summer after using so much sunscreen and skincare products that have striped my skin.
Plus this product is also a great makeup remover which I also really love.
Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep Cream:
I rarely use night creams because my skin is so sensitive but this one pleasantly surprised me. While I usually find over-night creams leave my skin feeling a bit tacky and over-hydrated, this one absorbed in and left my skin feeling really hydrated and smooth.
It’s creamy texture feels weightless and refreshing on your skin. I actually even gave some for my mum to try out and she loved it as well saying that it didn’t have any tackiness or stickiness to it. Since my skin is dry-prone having something like this in my beauty cabinet is really great and resolves my dry skin issues.
I have only used this the last three weeks and have found that my skin has looked a lot better and smoother, and I can absolutely see this making a difference in my skin with continued use.
