outfit details: All Day Blue Delight Striped Dress c/o Chicwish,
There’s no denying that interviews are stressful. You’re sitting across from a possible employer and are under a microscope. You’re asked questions like, “what are your greatest strengths?”, “What about your greatest weaknesses?”, and once I was even asked “If you were to be any dinosaur, which would you be?” – Yeah, that one stumped me.
The fact is, we can go as prepared as we want for the questions and still get asked something that throws us of. The only thing we can be certain of is that our outfit is going to make us feel our best to give us that extra bump of confidence we need. If you’re gearing up for a big interview than this is the post for you!
What to Wear to an Interview
Wear What You’d Wear to the Office, and then Bring it Up a Level
We all have style staples for the office. The basic button ups, slacks, and low heels. When you’re heading to an interview, you want to wear what you’re comfortable in, so the pieces you wear on a daily basis to complete your business casual style are a good place to start.
You then want to elevate those pieces by adding in some print, texture, and colour. These small details will take a basic look and add more interest to it which turns the whole look into something that appears much more thought out. Here are a few great accessories to step up your interview outfit:

What to Wear to an Interview in the Summer
During the summer, we all begin shedding some layers. This means are usual blazers and cardigans no longer fit in with our summer interview style. Rather than bothering to try to make you button up and slacks work, instead seek out a dress that provides an appropriate amount of coverage. This striped button-up dress is the perfect summer interview outfit. It mimics a button-down shirt while still being breezy and light to keep you cool in the sunny weather.

I always find it so stressful deciding what to wear for an interview! This dress is perfect well done 🙂
I’ve been reading your blog for over a year and I’d really love to consult you as a personal stylist, but you are too far away from germany. I really like this post, but what should a woman wear if she works as a chef de cuisine or crafts(wo)men? That’s a real question for me, because I think I can’t wear a secretary outfit to a job interview whithout looking overdressed.
That’s a stylish outfit for summer everyday wear. I like this blue-white striped long sleeve dress, it’s light and looks vintage inspired. Love the way you style it with suede peep-toe booties.
I also made a post about fashion combinations to try in the summertime, have a look:

You are so individual! I remember Marc Jacobs who once said “To me, clothing is a form of self-expression – there are hints about who you are in what you wear.”
thanks for inspo! A great look for work hours, I also made a post about office styles, here is the link: http://stylefavourite.com/bright-work-outfits-for-women-over-30/
