Our cold grey and rainy weather has signified one important thing: it’s time to bring out our cozier clothes. As we approach October (at lighting speed, it feels) it’s time to start thinking about how we’re going to keep warm stylish during the coming cool seasons. While a part of me dreads the idea of always needing sweaters, coats, and scarves, the other part of me is excited to welcome a change in style.
Plus, I have a vacation planned in November so I won’t be without my summer pieces for too long.Since fall is coming whether I like it or not, I felt like it was the perfect time to talk a bit more about fall fashion. Hunnis Boutique in Langley has to be one of my favourite place to shop for more unique and special pieces. Back in the spring when I first discovered Hunnis Boutique, I filled my closet with pieces that I ended up wearing all throughout the spring, summer, and my vacation to Cuba. Now, I have teamed up with the incredible boutique again and I couldn’t be more excited about the fall-ready pieces I’ve added to my wardrobe!
While the “Canadian tuxedo” may be a denim shirt paired with denim pants, the Canadian Uniform has to be a classic plaid button up with comfortable jeans. There is something so wonderfully classic and rustic looking about a classic cozy plaid shirt and denim paired together, and it’s a look I adore for the fall. But these classics can easily be modernized by a few simple stylish updates, click through to read more on how to rock plaid + denim this fall!
Oversized Fits:
Try for plaid shirts that have a slightly oversized look to them. These will give off a super cozy look – and they’ll feel it too! I personally love oversized sweaters and plaid shirts during the fall because they do offer a certain comfort to them. Plus, when you’re not rocking them with your denim, your oversized pieces will look great with leather leggings!Hi-Lo Lengths:

You can't ever over-wear the plaid shirt/jean combo! It's one of my favourites, especially as we get into fall.
The hi-low detailing of this shirt is so cute and makes the style more unique than your typical flannel.
Have a great weekend!

Something About That
Bree, this is a great colored plaid shirt… I know what you mean about time flying by so quickly… luckily for us in Nova Scotia, we have had awesome weather… it's a little cooler today but it will be great for walking later xox
