My Carry On Essentials:
1. SUNGLASSES & GLASSES:
2. CELLPHONE:
This is a pretty obvious one – everyone needs their cellphone! I have never packed mine away in my suitcase before & can’t imagine doing that – gotta text my peeps when I land in Mexico – aka my mum & dad!
3. MOISTURIZER:
Like my lips, my skin tends to really dry out during flights. To remedy my dry skin I bring a little moisturizer along with me for the flight.
I apply this when my skin is feeling especially parched so that it doesn’t end up feeling too tight or irritated.
I am bringing along my Kiehl’s moisturizer as it is a really intense moisturizer (perfect for dry-prone skin) and it’s also only 75ml which meet the flight restrictions.
4. MOROCCAN OIL HAIR SERUM:
Once again this is a dryness-preventative item. My hair is naturally quite dry and so like my skin & lips, it tends to dry out pretty badly during flights and get quite tangled.
To combat this problem I bring along a little 25ML bottle of Moroccan Oil & I also keep my hair in a braid for the flight.
5. CHAPSTICK:
This is always a staple item for me so it really comes as no surprise that while traveling it’s a mega-staple. I’ve always found that planes really dry out my lips.

6. TRAVEL PERFUME:
If you’re on a long flight there is nothing more frustrating than the chance of not smelling your best.
Since I have so many little travel size perfume bottles I decided to bring on along for the flight just in-case somewhere along the way I start feeling like I am not smelling as pretty & fresh as I was at the beginning of the flight.
Thankfully this is a pretty short flight so that probably won’t be a problem.
7. Q-TIPS:
8. DELICATES:
9. SCARF:
I really doubt that I’ll need this at any other point during my vacation but during the flight, it will definitely be in use.
I get really cold on flights but whenever I get off a flight I am always boiling, so to remedy this problem I layer-up.
When I get off the flight I’ll easily be able to remove this scarf layer to meet the new warm climate.
10. SWIMWEAR:
11. READING MATERIAL:
12. HEADPHONES:
I always pack along my headphones so that I can listen to whatever program/music they are offering during the flight.

I wish my packing was this organised!

That's a great post, Bree!
I always carry hand cream and lip balm with me and a scarf to layer up as well. And I always buy some magazine and a bottle of water at the airport.
Love your scarf, it's so bright! When are you flying to Mexico? Ah, holidays, can't wait either 🙂
Have fun!
xo Irene
P.s. it would be great if you did similar posts on what to pack for different types of holidays … Just saying :p
Oh that's a great idea! i'll definitely look into doing some more! 🙂
Great post Bree, I always find packing a carry on challenging and have a hard time letting go of the 'wants' vs 'needs'. Although I have to admit, my solution is to jam it packed and then sit on it to close it. Great post!

Awe thank you!! I have that problem too, it's hard not to just bring everything!
Lovely bikinis!

Thanks! <3
love the bathing suit – all really good ideas.
I didnt know you could bring a perfume on the plane!
Thank you! And yep, just sample sizes though =)
Great post, you know, I've never thought of taking extra underwear but that is such an amazing amazing Idea! Fab.

Just in case – you never know if your luggage could be lost!
Hi Bree, thanks for the tips, when it comes to pack I am so mad, wish I was more organized!:) Kisses! xo
oh yay I am so glad you liked this! xx
I actually do the exact opposite- I pack my purse into a carry on bag 🙂 haha, I feel like I get more room, but still only have one bag to carry.
Totally agree about packing some delicates- just in case! I also recently read a tip for checked baggage (when you're traveling as a pair): pack half your items and half your travel companions items in each suitcase. That way, if one bag gets lost, you both still have clothes to get by on!
I can definitely see that being really spacious! I try to cut down on luggage though, I hate carrying lots of bags from the airport to the hotel – what a diva right? hahaha!
i love the sugar lip treatments! super cute bathing suit, love the orange bottoms!

It's my fave – the best! <3
Definitely, definitely agree with clean underwear – I was so pleased I'd packed clean ones in my handluggage when I arrived in South Africa four days before my suitcase, which had been sent to Egypt…
Have an amazing holiday!!
Jess xo
See that's my biggest fear! Gotta pack extras! x
oo I wish I was off on holiday somewhere!
The Moroccan oil serum sounds lovely, I've still yet to try their products.

They are great products, I love them for my super damaged hair – helps out the frizziness!
I don't know why, but I had much fun while reading this post. 😀 That Q-tip thing was funny and the swimwear tip is just brilliant!

that's actually my scarf! But you're right, it totally does match! 😛
I really want to try that Moroccan Hair Serum Oil now! Love these photos and adorable swimsuits though!

It's great for damaged hair, I use it daily to keep my dry hair at bay 🙂
I pack so many of the same items in my carry on. I include a few extras such as my contact lens case, a tooth brush and mini tooth paste and my iPad. I've never (fingers crossed) had my luggage lost but I always try to be as prepared as possible if the unfortunate situation arises.
xo jen
That's really smart! Anything you'd be lost without if your luggage arrived late should always be packed in the carry on! I've had my luggage arrive late before and I didn't pack much in my carry-on… it was bad times haha!
Great list of things to take. The idea of losing luggage totally freaks me out, good idea to take extra undies and your swim suit so you won't be miserable waiting for it. Have fun!
Ginny
It freaks me out too! We had it happen once before, like 3 years ago, and it was awful!
Loving your bathing suit combo. Perfection!
Thank you! <3
Your swimsuit is AMAZING!! And I love the bag!

Your packaging looks so organised love that! 🙂 x
hahaha I tried to keep it organized this time, usually I am in packing chaos!
I adore that bikini!! I saw a DIY for the top on YouTube and almost made it but then I realized I would get awful tan lines since I tan pretty easily. :/ Nice post! Have a great time on vacation! xo

Awe thank you!! You're lucky you tan easily, I don't at all so I never really worry about tan lines!
This is fun to see 🙂

If I packed smart all I would take was my carry-on! But… I am excessive =P I am totally obsessed with this bikini and surprising it didn't give me terrible tan lines – shocking right?! Mind you, I didn't get crazy tanned – still pale!
